Butterscotch cake is professionally called praline cake. The base of this cake can be of two types: moist and sponge. Along with the cake base, butterscotch sauce is used (which is made with a combination of sugar caramel, butter and cooking cream).
Also, the special feature of this cake is that praline (crushed parts made of cashew nuts and caramel) is used in each layer of the cake. Whipped cream is also used in this cake, but if the cake base is made moist, it is possible to bring an extraordinary test in the combination of butter cream.
